                                               Anita Gyawali-Ganesh Gyawali Health Research Award 2023


This is an award established by Dr. Bishal Gyawali in honor of his parents who were the first person to
encourage him to the path of science.


This award is to encourage and inspire young trainees in Nepal to conduct meaningful health research in the local context. Submissions are encouraged from everyone who is eligible to apply.

One award, constituting a certificate and a cash prize of NPR 50,000 will be awarded every year at the
ecancer Kathmandu event.

Free registration for this event will also be included in the award. An independent panel of 3 people will judge the highest quality award from among the submissions for the award.

 

 Criteria for the Award


1. The study must have been conducted in Nepal and published in a peer-reviewed journal.
2. The first/last/corresponding author can submit the application. Two people cannot submit an
application for the same study.
3. The following items should be submitted by email to maria@ecancer.org for consideration of the award.

  • a. A cover letter
  • b. A PDF of the published study that’s the basis for the award application (preference will
  • be given to the study published since 2022 January)
  • c. A copy of the individual’s CV
  • d. One letter of recommendation (not mandatory, but include if possible to strengthen
  • your application)

4. The deadline to apply is August 21, 2023.
