McVie - Veronesi Award
Prof Gordon Mc Vie and Professor Umberto Veronesi cofounded ecancer global foundation. Prof Mc Vie was a world renowned oncologist who was passionate about cancer education. Prof Veronesi is widely acknowledged as one of the pioneers behind world-wide acceptance of conservative surgeries in oncology and this has contributed to improved quality of life of patients.
The ecancer TMC Kolkata 2023 conference invites original research presentations from junior clinicians/researchers for consideration for the "McVie - Veronesi Award 2023". Selected papers will be invited for rapid fire oral presentations on 1st Oct 2023 on the second day of the conference. There will be a jury who will choose the best three presentations for 1st prize (Rs 15,000), 2nd prize (Rs 12000) and third prize ( Rs 7000) and the decision of the jury will be final. The selected candidates will be communicated the format of presentation.
The last date of submission of abstract for the presentation will be 30th August 2023. The abstracts are to be submitted online via this link.
Abstract Submission Guidelines:
1. All submission is to be done online (click here).
2. Use a word count of 250 words or less (excluding title, key words, and references)
3. Papers may have multiple authors; and the presenting one author must register for and attend the conference
4. The submitting author should input all author details and submit the abstract.
5. All abstracts must be submitted in English
6. Abstracts should have the following headings: Background, Methods, Results and Discussion
7. Last date of abstract submission: 30th August 2023.
8. Corresponding authors of accepted abstracts will be notified over email before 5th Sept 2023.
Some of the abstracts will be selected for rapid fire oral presentation to be held on 1st Oct 2023. Three best abstracts will be selected for Professor Umberto Veronesi Research Award (1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize).
